Landmark Dates

In 1954, S.A. Camp Companies was founded by Saul A. Camp and James Y. Camp. Harold Schuetz was the first manager of our company. We began with 12 employees, 2 rigs, 1 electrical truck, 2 A-Frames, and 2 vehicles.

We focused our motto on the importance of service: “If you cannot give good service, you might as well shut down.”

We wanted to make sure our customers received the kind of service they needed to sustain their operations for the long haul.

In 1952, the large earthquake that shook Kern County found us working 24/7 for the next two years, and we developed relationships that are still ongoing.

In the mid-1960s, Bakersfield Well and Casing was founded and continues to this day.

Throughout the years and through several droughts, S.A. Camp Pump and Drilling has maintained a strong presence in Kern County with our first-class service.

Today, we employ roughly 100 people and serve countless companies throughout the Central Valley.
